The County Attorney stated that the appraisals had been made on the <br />stub roads. Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald seconded by Commissioner <br />Hamilton and unanimously carried, approving the appraisals and requesting <br />the Attorney offer the appraised amount to the property owners. <br />Further upon Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Comm- <br />issioner Hamilton and unanimously carried, the Board approved the payment <br />of the following amounts: Floyd Umphrey and wife, $15.00 for SRD NO. 6; <br />Sidney Steinfeld and wife, $531.00 for SRD #3. The first is for a right of <br />way on Hobart Road and the second for a right of way on STate Road 508. <br />Commissioner Waddell read and explained the recommendations of the <br />State Association of County. Commissioners for legislation they wished'to <br />get passed in this session of the legislature. Motion was then made by <br />Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton and unanimously <br />carried, and the following Resolution was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 61-25 <br />WHEREAS, the State Association of County Commissioners of <br />Florida, in convention assembled in Tallahassee, did adopt a legislative <br />program for the State of Florida to be enacted in the 1961 Session of the <br />Florida Legislature, consisting of twenty items set forth in the outline of <br />Legislative Program of the State Association of County Commissioners and <br />which has attached thereto a preliminary statement and a copy of a proposed <br />County Code for Florida;and, <br />WHEREAS, this Board has reviewed said Legislative Program ; <br />Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Indian River County, Florida, that this Board does herewith endorse and <br />adopt the Legislative Program of the State Association of County Commis- <br />sioners, and does herewith respectfully request the Representative and <br />Senator from Indian River County, Florida, to use their good offices toward <br />enactment of that Legislative Program in the 1961 Session of the Florida <br />Legislature; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of tH s <br />Resolution be furnished to the Honorable Harry Kicliter, Senator, and to de <br />Honorable L. B. Vocelle, Representative. <br />
