1 <br />1 <br />L, <br />163 <br />TUESDAY, MM 5th 1928. <br />MmurBoardvefrMunty Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at <br />the Court House in Hero Beech, on Tuesday, June 5th 1928 at 10 o'clock A.M.with the <br />following members of the Board present: John H. Atkin, Chairman; J.w. rude; J.J.P. <br />Hamilton and O.O.Helseth. Also present were Miles Warren, Clerk and J.H.Satherland, <br />Sheriff., <br />The Minutes of the meetings held in May 1928 were read and. approved. <br />The Notary Public bond of Will T. Holtzclaw, in the sum of $500.00 with The <br />American Da rety Company, a corporation, of New York as surety was approved. <br />The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were <br />examined and approved and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. <br />The several County depositories having filed their monthly reports showing receipts <br />and disbursements for the month of May and some having been checked were found to be <br />correct. <br />The Board then adjourned until Mondays June 11th, 1928 at 10 o'clock A. I. <br />a i r m a n. <br />ATTEST <br />e r k. <br />- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - <br />XONDAY, JUNE 11th„192$, <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at <br />the Court House in Vero Beach, on Mondays June 11th, 1928 at 10 o' o lock, A .M. in <br />adjourned meeting with the following members of the Board present: J. V. LaBruce; <br />J.J.P.Hamilton; Geo. A. Braddock and 0. 0. Helseth. Also present were Miles Warren, <br />Clerk and J.H.Sutherland, ;Mieriffe <br />The Chairman being absent from this meeting on motion duly„ made, seconded and <br />unanimously carried the Board designated J. W. LaBruee, as Chairman pro -tem. <br />P. F. Jarvis appeared before the Board regarding Bridge to John's Island and the <br />same having been considered, it was ordered that the County Engineer prepare adverise- <br />ment for the project for the Board to receive sealed bits not later than June 29th 19289 <br />and the Board meet on said date to consider such bids and proposals as may then be on <br />file. <br />Miss Leila Bunkley appeared before the Board respecting the condition ofmIrs. <br />Harris Jones, and fwaily, and after consideration, it was ordered that the bills and <br />expense incurred in rendering aid and assistance to this family be paid by the County <br />out of the General Revenue Fund. <br />The Board, in <br />compliance <br />with law, <br />examined the registration books <br />of the County <br />and finding that no <br />revision <br />of the same <br />is necessary at this time, the <br />books with the <br />names of persons registered were ordered approved. <br />The following Road petition was reoeived, read and filed: <br />ROAD PETITI(3N. <br />'TATE ,OF FLORIDA ) <br />: <br />COUNTY OF INDIAN RIVER) <br />TO THE HOMRABLE BOARD OF COUNT' COMMISSIONERS OF SAID COUNTY: <br />Gentlemen: - <br />'We, the undersigned, citizens of the County of Indian River, State of Florida, <br />respectfully represent that the necessities of the public require a County Road to be <br />'p <br />
