i • ii • L' ' . t t e :.: rd of County Commis- <br />sioners of Indian River County, Florida, does herewith vacate, abandon <br />discontinue and close the park existing on the above described property and <br />does renounce and disclaim any right of the County and the public in and to <br />the above described lands constituting such park. <br />Harold Scott of Reynolds, Smith and Hills appeared before the Board <br />and gave. an up to date report of the activities of the Central and Southern <br />Florida Flood Control District. He stated that the District will sometime <br />in the not too distant future put in a reservoir in the Lake Poinsett area <br />and a canal into the Sebastian River. Mr. Ed Carter stated that he had <br />attended the meeting in Cocoa and would recommend to the Board that we <br />hire Reynolds, Smith & Hill to carry on in our interests since we have <br />finally gotten a start in our direction. Mr. Scott presented a Contract <br />for a year for the amount of $5,000.00 to be paid for in two installments. <br />The Board stated at this time they were in favor of entering into the con- <br />tract but would have to take it up at budget time. <br />Joe Earman, Chairman of Civil Defense appeared before the Board with <br />a bill from Roland Miller Chevrolet for larger tires for the Civil Defense <br />Trucks. He stated the tires which came on the Rescue trucks were much to <br />small. Motion was made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner <br />Hamilton and unanimously carried, that this bill in the amount of R191.50 <br />be paid. <br />Flip Lloyd of Lloyd Engineering Co. appeared before the Board with a <br />tentative plat for a trailer court on Emerson Ave. South of the South Relief <br />Canal to be called Quiet Village. After some discussion in the matter, <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers and carried, that the Plat of Quiet Village be tentatively approved, <br />and that the Plat should show that a trailer must have a minimum of two <br />lots, and futher that this plat is tentatively approved without a park <br />•area . <br />
