A letter was read from the Rotary Club of .Vero Beach requesting the <br />Board put up a sign on our parking lot identifying us with the Four -Way <br />Test. Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers and carried, that this matter be tabled for the time being. <br />A letter was read from Sam Joyce, Sheriff advising that Lewis'Alden- <br />dox'f is no longer employed by the Sheriff's Department and his bond can- <br />celled. <br />The following Resolution was introduced by Commissioner Waddell, • <br />seconded by Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 61- 41 <br />WHEREAS, the Tax Assessor of Indian River County, Florida, <br />did heretofore under date of February 8, 1961, enter into an agreement with <br />Hunnicutt & Associates, Incorporated, a Florida corporation, for the doing <br />of certain work therein enumerated and detailed involving the necessary <br />expenditures to be incurred by the Tax Assessor for the purpose of re- <br />appraisal and revising maps of real estate in Indian River County, Florida, <br />in assisting the Tax Assessor in an appraisement of all property in Indian <br />River County, Florida; and, <br />WHEREAS, said agreement contemplated the expenditure by <br />said Assessor of the total sum of $54, 600.00, plus certain presently antici- <br />pated additional work in the nature of cornaflex map prints at an estimated <br />cost of $2, 988.00, which said work was originally contemplated to be done <br />over a period of time extending beyond January 1, 1961; and, <br />WHEREAS, this Board has heretofore ratified and approved <br />said contract and agreement and expenditure of said funds and the same has <br />been authorized and approved by the Comptroller of the State of Florida as <br />necessary expenditures for such purposes; and, <br />WHEREAS, it has now been determined that it would be to the <br />best interest of this County that said work be expedited in order that all of <br />the same might be done, finished and completed by January 1, 1962; and, <br />WHEREAS, said Hunnicutt & Associates have submitted to said <br />Tax Assessor a revised schedule of the work done and to be done and the <br />necessary expenditures therefor to meet this revised and expedited time <br />schedule, which said revised schedule of expenditures indicates that addi- <br />
