.TUESDAY, JUNE 20:, 1961 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, met at <br />the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida in a regular meeting held at 9:00 <br />o'clock A.M., Tuesday, June 20, 1961. Present were Robert W. Graves, <br />Chairman; D. B. McCullers, Jr., J. J. P. Hamilton and Donald Macdonald. <br />Absent was Dr. B. Q. Waddell, Jr. Also present were Sherman N. Smith, <br />Jr.., Attorney for the Board; Ed Schmucker, County Engineer and Katherine <br />Morrison, Deputy Clerk. <br />Homer Fletcher, Tax Assessor appeared before the Board and requested an <br />extension of time for equalization of the Tax Roll, and upon Motion made <br />by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton and carried, <br />the following Resolution was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION No. 61 - 46 <br />WHEREAS, the County Assessor of Taxes has advised this <br />Board that due to the numerous sales and exchanges of property to <br />this County and the addition of many items on the Tax Assessment <br />roll required by virtue of subdividing of lands in the County, that <br />further and additional time is required for the completion of the <br />assessment roll for the year 1961; Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Indian River County, Florida, that the time for completion of the <br />assessment rolls of Indian River County, Florida, for the year 1961 <br />and the - <br />• . 11 - <br />
