provides GIS maps and analytical tools throughout all the users in the enterprise by enabling <br /> GIS functions through web browsers. Arclnfo, ArcEditor, ArcView and its extensions allow for <br /> more advanced analysis to be performed on the desktops of experienced users , <br /> Summary of Services and Initiatives <br /> Several GIS projects have been initiated by the County to improve the utility of the enterprise <br /> GIS . The following list highlights these initiatives: <br /> • Load of Data into Geodatabase <br /> • Address Point Creation <br /> • Utilities Data Transformation <br /> • Logical and Physical Database Design <br /> Through consulting projects and initiatives, many data layers have been located and <br /> imported into Indian River County ' s Geodatabase . By loading this data into the <br /> geodatabase, access to this data is granted to users and applications providing for a single <br /> source of information , The development of Address Points provides Emergency Services with <br /> significant value added data to their commonly used data layers. The Address Points <br /> provides an accurate means to locate address and provides significantly greater detail to <br /> parcels that have many structures at one address . The addition of Address Maintenance <br /> Software will provide Indian River County with an easy to use tool for maintaining and <br /> updating these points. Logical and physical database design will provide Indian River <br /> County with a comprehensive outline of the storage of data layers within the enterprise <br /> geodatabase , This will also provide a standard for which future data deliveries should <br /> comply. Various other smaller data collection and integration projects have provided some <br /> value to the enterprise GIS such as UDAR collection and utilities data transformation . <br /> Progress Toward Year One Goals <br /> Indian River County has made significant progress toward the overall implementation goals. <br /> During the remainder of year one , initiatives should be undertaken to not only meet the <br /> individual needs, but the overall implementation goals. The following matrix outlines <br /> individual tasks that have been performed and the goals each task helps meet. <br />
