The Contractor' s Daily Quality <br /> Control Report with recorded inspections are to be furnished to the COUNTY daily. <br /> 40. 6 OA/OC Deficiencies. The CONTRACTOR is responsible for implementing any corrective <br /> actions recommended by the Quality Assurance Officer, the COUNTY, or the FDEP. <br /> Reported deficiencies shall require follow-up inspection within 24 hours by the <br /> CONTRACTOR' S Quality Assurance Officer, the COUNTY, and/or the FDEP. Recurring <br /> deficiencies in an item or items may indicate inadequacies in the Quality Assurance Plan <br /> and the CONTRACTOR may be required to revise the QA Plan as directed by the <br /> COUNTY and advise appropriate personnel of any modifications required . <br /> 41 . SAFETY REQUIREMENTS <br /> The CONTRACTOR shall specify all safety inspection procedures and designate personnel <br /> responsible for supervising accident prevention activities and insuring compliance with safety <br /> measures. At the time of the Pre-Construction Meeting, the CONTRACTOR shall submit to the <br /> COUNTY a Safety Plan. The Safety Plan shall include but not be limited to the following: <br /> 41 . 1 Letter of Appointment designating a Safety Officer(s), describing responsibilities, <br /> providing qualifications and delineating the line of authority and organizational reporting <br /> requirements of the Safety Officer. <br /> 41 .2 Accident Prevention Plan. The CONTRACTOR is required to submit to the COUNTY an <br /> Accident Prevention Plan ten ( 10) days after the Notice of Award and prior to the pre- <br /> construction meeting. The Accident Prevention Plan must be in accordance with all <br /> Federal safety standards as specified in EM 395- 1 - 1 , dated September 1996, entitled <br /> "Safety and Health Requirements Manual ." Submission of the Plan does not constitute an <br /> endorsement on the part of the COUNTY or ENGINEER of the CONTRACTOR' S <br /> Accident Prevention Plan. The Plan is intended to provide a method by which the <br /> CONTRACTOR demonstrates an awareness of Federal safety standards. <br /> 41 .3 OSHA Standards. The CONTRACTOR shall review the Corps of Engineers Manual, <br /> General Safety Requirements EM 385- 1 - 1 , dated September 1996 and the latest <br /> Occupational Safety and Hazard Agency (OSHA) standards and become fully <br /> knowledgeable of the personal protective equipment that must be provided workers and <br /> shall be familiar with the safety standards applicable to the prevention of accidents during <br /> the construction of this project and shall comply with all applicable provisions. <br /> 41 .4 Trench Safety Act <br /> 41 .4. 1 The provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration' s excavation <br /> safety standards, 29 C.F.R. s. 1926.650 Subpart P are incorporated as the state standard. <br /> The Department of Labor and Employment Security may, by rule, adopt updated or <br /> revised versions of those standards, provided that the updated or revised versions are <br /> consistent with the intent expressed in this act and Section 553 .60 et seq., Florida Statutes, <br /> and are not otherwise inconsistent with state law.
