Recommended GIS Applications <br /> To meet the Health Department GIS goals the following GIS software is recommended . A <br /> detailed description of each of the recommended applications, where applicable, is <br /> provided in the Enterprise-wide application section later in this chapter. The following is a list <br /> of the recommended GIS applications: <br /> 5 ArcGIS 9 <br /> One license of ArcView 9 is recommended for use by Health Department personnel . A <br /> description of this application is provided in the Enterprise-Wide Applications section of this <br /> „ chapter. <br /> Intranet GIS Data Browser <br /> An Intranet GIS data browser has been recommended for use by Health Department <br /> personnel . The Intranet GIS data browser should provide health mapping functionality for all <br /> Department personnel . This application will serve as the primary enterprise-wide GIS <br /> application for the Health Department . A full description of recommended GIS data <br /> browser solutions is provided in the Enterprise-wide Applications section of this chapter. <br /> Recommended Departmental GIS Users <br /> „ The following graphic describe the recommended departmental GIS user roles based on the <br /> three tiers of GIS .
