WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 1962 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />met at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, in a special meeting held <br />at 8:00 o'clock, A. M., Wednesday, February 14, 1962. All members were <br />present. Also present were Ed Schmucker, County Engineer, John Gould, K <br />County Attorney, Charles Herring, AlA Right -of -Way Attorney, and Freda <br />Wright, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman announced that this meeting was called for the <br />purpose of determining the Boards views on getting the Sebastian Inlet <br />Bridge on the secondary road plan immediately. <br />After considerable discussion Motion was made by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Waddell, and unanimously carried, <br />that the Chairman be authorized to inform the Chairman of the Brevard <br />County Board of County Commissioners of this proposition, that we feel <br />if they will furnish $200,000.00 towards the construction of the bridge, <br />we will pay the rest of the costs out of our secondary road fund. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers, and unanimously carried, that the Chairman be <br />authorized to commit the County to build the bridge. <br />There being no further business, on motion made, seconded <br />and carried the Board then adjourned. <br />J <br />
