�i,uX 1 rA� <br />Mrs. Anne Christensen, County Welfare Worker, gave a brief <br />report of some of her activities for the swath of February and filed <br />her regular monthly report. <br />The Chairman read a letter of resignation from Mrs. Christ- <br />ensen effective May 31, 1962. Motion was made by Commissioner McCullers, <br />seconded by Comsissioner Hamilton and unanimously carried, that the <br />Board accept Mrs. Christensen's resignation with regret and that Mrs. <br />Gladys Vigliano be appointed to succeed her. <br />Mr. Moody, Tax Collector, and Mr. Fletcher, Tax Assessor, <br />appeared before the Board and requested authorization to purchase <br />jointly a data processing and tax billing machine. Motion was made by <br />Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously <br />carried, that the Board authorize the Tax Assessor and the Tax Collector <br />to share the cost of the data processing and tax billing machine, and <br />an addressograph attachment for printing tax bills, such cost to be <br />taken from their excess fees. <br />o <br />Mr. A. T. LeFevre appeared before the Board with regard to <br />abandoning right-of-way in Carver Subdivision. He was advised that there <br />are certain legal procedures to follow for abandoning rights-of-way and <br />that he should present it at the next meeting in proper form. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner Waddell, and unanimously carried, that the Board members, <br />Clerk, County Engineer and the County Attorney be authorized to attend <br />the County Commissioner's Convention in Jacksonville on March 18, 19 and <br />20, 1962. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Macdonald and um aimously carried,'that'the County bookkeeper is <br />authorized to pay $5,500.00 to the Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce as <br />budgeted end to pay $500.00 to the North Indian River County Chamber of <br />Commerea as per budget. <br />Upon Notion made by,Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner va"*11 aad wMaLmously garried, tbo following Resolution <br />
