:[646 <br />TUESDAY, MARCH 27, 1962 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, met <br />at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, in a regular meeting held at 8:00 <br />o'clock, A. M., Tuesday, March 27, 1962. All members were present. Also <br />present were Ed Schmucker, County Engineer, John Gould, Attorney, Al <br />Webber and Freda Wright, Deputy Clerks. <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Macdonald and unanimously carried, a copy of Report No. 5423, made <br />on the audit of the accounts and records of the Clerk, Sheriff and County <br />Judge of Indian River County is ordered filed as a part of the public <br />records of the Board, pursuant to Section 21.121 (3), Florida Statutes. <br />Mr. James T. Vocelle, Attorney, appeared before the Board with <br />an application by Ruth M. Johnson for a permit to practice palmistry. <br />After some discussion and upon Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, se- <br />conded by Commissioner Waddell and unanimously carried, the application <br />was denied and the following Resolution adopted. <br />R E S O L U T I O N <br />WHEREAS, Ruth M. Johnson has presented to the Clerk of the Board <br />of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, an application for <br />a permit for a license to engage in the occupation of palmistry in Indian <br />River County, Florida; and, <br />WHEREAS, Douglas Baker, the Clerk of the Board of County Commis- <br />sioners of Indian River County, Florida, has made an investigation and <br />examination of Ruth M. Johnson and has reported the results thereof to the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, at its next <br />regular meeting after the presentation of said application; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida has considered the application and the report of the Clerk of the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, and is duly <br />advised; and, <br />WHEREAS, many organizations and individuals have objected to and <br />opposed the issuance of the said permit; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />
