Provide the mission statement and vision of your organization . <br /> GYAC Mission Statement is : <br /> With God ' s guidance our vision is to establish a partnership among youth, adults and the <br /> Gifford-Indian River County area that develops self-esteem, teaches character and encourages <br /> each individual to his/her ultimate potential . <br /> GYAC Vision is : <br /> To provide supplemental educational and character enhancing opportunities to children and <br /> families in the Gifford-Indian River Community to enhance their educational and personal <br /> development. In doing so , it is the GYAC ' s charge to enhance our children and families ' <br /> educational and professional success . <br /> 2 . Provide a brief summary of your organization including areas of expertise, <br /> accomplishments , and population served . <br /> Expertise, accomplishments & population served by GYAC is . <br /> The GYAC was established in 1998 to meet the educational and personal development needs of <br /> the Gifford-Indian River Community through supplemental children ' s education and family <br /> development opportunities . The GYAC has also established a network of programs to enhance <br /> behavioral outcomes of these children. The GYAC employs educational experts and partners <br /> with many organizations to provide these services . The GYAC has utilized the expertise of <br /> partners including : the Indian River County (IRC) School District, the Indian River Community <br /> College, Project Hope, Indian River Library System, the Cultural Counsel, the Vero Beach <br /> Museum of Art, the Riverside Children ' s Theater and many more . Successful programs include : <br /> Upward Bound, the Freedom School , the Cultural Camp , the After School Program, the <br /> Preschool Early Literacy Program and much more . <br /> 4 <br />
