W <br />SECTION 1000 <br />W WATER AND SEWER UTILITIES <br />A. Water Utilities <br />The water utilities for this project shall be constructed per the "Indian River County <br />Department of Utility Services Water and Wastewater Utility Standards," dated 2006 or <br />latest version. <br />Payment shall be made per "The Summary of Pay Items" as shown in the Plans. <br />Relocation of existing fire hydrants shall include the cost of all pipe, fittings, thrust blocks, <br />retaining rods, trenching grading, and incidental items associated with relocation. The base <br />of the hydrant shall be set flush with the proposed grade. <br />B. Sewer Utilities <br />The sewer utilities for this project shall be constructed per the "Indian River County Department <br />of Utility Services Water and Wastewater Utility Standards," dated 2006, or latest version. <br />i <br />Payment shall be made per "The Summary of Pay Items" as shown in the Plans. <br />C. General <br />1. Contractor shall construct all water and sewer lines as shown on the plans and as <br />required by Indian River County. Fittings are not to scale and only indicate the general <br />configuration of the assembly. <br />r <br />2. Contractor shall furnish all necessary materials, equipment, machinery, tools, means of <br />transportation and labor necessary to complete the work in full. <br />r <br />3. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans, the Indian River County <br />Water and Wastewater Utility Standards, latest revision, and the specifications of this <br />project. In the event these specifications are not in agreement with said standards, the <br />most stringent specifications shall govern. <br />• 4. Contractor shall provide maintenance of traffic in accordance with the FDOT standard <br />indexes. Work zone requirements shall be coordinated with Indian River County Public <br />Works Department. <br />5. Contractor shall be responsible for the layout of the work, as -built data and for providing <br />as -built drawings to the County. As -built information shall conform to Indian River <br />County Utility Department requirements. <br />6. The Contractor shall restore all vegetation in kind. <br />C-7 <br />W <br />
