Compliance of Federal, State, and Local Laws , Rules, and Regulations <br /> All processing activities shall be conducted in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws , rules , and <br /> regulations . <br /> i) The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining and paying for all permits needed to <br /> construct, operate, maintain, close, and reclaim the debris processing sites . <br /> ii) The Contractor shall be responsible for any environmental sampling required at the debris <br /> staging area. Normally areas used to stage vegetative debris do not require any environmental <br /> sampling . Areas used to stage mixed debris , or ash from burning mixed debris, will normally <br /> require environmental sampling to close the site after the debris or ash is removed . It would <br /> also be advisable to sample the area prior to staging any mixed debris to identify any existing <br /> contamination at the site . <br /> iii) The Contractor shall maintain the site in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws, <br /> rules , and regulations including at a minimum erosion control , storm water management, and <br /> fire control . <br /> iv) The Contractor shall not be responsible for C &D disposal fees at the County landfill . <br /> V) The Contractor shall provide and pay for all the necessary labor, tools, and equipment to <br /> execute the work described in this Scope of Services . <br /> Contractor Assistance and Cooperation <br /> 1 . The Contractor shall provide the County any assistance, in its capacity, to the FEMA reimbursement <br /> efforts . <br /> • The Contractor shall provide all records, including, but not limited to , truck and trailer <br /> registrations, disposal tickets , debris-dumping site logs, area maps , and other data sufficient to <br /> provide substantiation for FEMA and State reimbursement applications . <br /> j <br /> • The Contractor shall assist the County in responding to federal and state agencies request for <br /> additional information and/or auditing as directed by the County. <br /> i <br /> 2 .
