�'A � <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner McCullers and unanimously carried, that William E. Martin be paid <br />$50.00 for parcel 142.1, Roseland road right of way. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Waddell and unanimously carried, that the County Attorney is auth- <br />orized to offer $350.00 to Mr. Fred Baisden for Parcel No. 126.1, Roseland <br />road right-of-way. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner McCullers and unanimously carried, that the County Attorney be <br />authorized to offer Mrs. Mary Jenson $100.00 for parcel #103.1 Roseland <br />road right-of-way. <br />The County Engineer stated that Mr. Hanshaw was appointed to <br />serve on the Board of Adjustment and became ill and did not accept the <br />appointment and suggested that someone be appointed. Motion was made by <br />Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and unanimously <br />carried, that James M. Alexander be appointed. <br />The County Attorney reported that he had contacted several <br />county attorneys and that it was now his opinion that the county could <br />enter into a contract with Florida Power and Light Company for lighting <br />intersections. After further discussing the matter, the County Engineer <br />was requested to make a further survey of the intersections. <br />The Board then recessed. <br />Thursday, September 6, 1962 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met at <br />the -Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, at 1:00 o'clock, P. M., on Thursday, <br />September 6, 1962, as an Equalization Board as provided by law. All members <br />were present. Also present were Ed Schmucker, County Engineer; John Gould, <br />Attorney, Homer Fletcher, Tax Assessor and Al Webber and Freda Wright, <br />Deputy'Clerks. <br />The Board then re -convened as a Board of Equalization,'as pro- <br />vided by law. -The Tax Assessor stated that the Tax Rolls were not ready <br />and stated.he thought they would be ready by -September 28, 1962.
