Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Hamilton and unanimously carried, that the low bid of The Zack <br />Company in the amount of $9,898.00 for kitchen and laundry equipment be <br />accepted. <br />Mr. Gerald Rivenbark presented his views to the Board on a <br />proposal made to him by General Waterworks, Inc., for supplying water to <br />Glen Acres Subdivision, which was, in his opinion, unfair. Mr. Ed Keller- <br />man, representing General Waterworks, Inc., explained in great detail the <br />operation of the company, the methods used to determine the charges and <br />also stated that it was their desire to work together with the county in <br />the future operation of the business. After hearing their discussion, <br />the water franchise was given to the County Attorney for further study <br />so that he could make a report at the next meeting on Friday, September <br />28, 1962. <br />The Chairman read a notice from the Democratic Executive <br />Committee, advising of a meeting to be held Saturday, September 22, 1962, <br />and inviting all elected officials to attend. <br />At the suggestion of the County Attorney the following motions <br />were made with regard to Roseland Road right-of-way. Motion was made by <br />Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by ,.Commissioner Waddell and unanimously <br />carried, that Mrs. Mary G. Jensen be paid $160.00 for parcel No. 103.1, <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Wad- <br />dell, and unanimously carried, that the County Attorney be authorized to <br />offer $100.00 to Mr. Fred Warner, for right-of-way. <br />The County Attorney read a copy of a letter from Attorney <br />Vocelle-to the State Road Department advising the State Road Department <br />that.thLy were.encroaching on Mrs. Kjorsvik's property. The County <br />attorney was asked to write to Mr.' Vocelle and send a copy to the State <br />• Road Department and asked them to furnish us with a survey of Mrs. Kjors- <br />vik's property. <br />Al Qebber, Deputy Clerk, .requested authority to release <br />$1,000.00 on Greenbrier Subdivision, Unit 2, as the plat requirements had <br />been computed.
