SECTION 00800 - SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS TO THE GENERAL CONDITIONS SC -1.00 Introduction These Supplementary Conditions amend or supplement the Standard General Conditions of the Construction Contract (No. 1910-8, 1996 Edition) and other provisions of the Contract Documents as indicated below. All provisions, which are not so amended or supplemented, remain in full force and effect. The terms used in these Supplementary Conditions will have the meanings indicated in the General Conditions. SC -1.01 Defined Terms SC -1.01.A.20. Delete paragraph GC 1.01.A.20 in its entirety. SC -2.05 Before Starting Construction SC -2.05.C. Delete paragraph GC 2.05.0 in its entirety and insert the following paragraph in its place: C. Evidence of Insurance: CONTRACTOR shall not commence work under this Contract until he has obtained all insurance required under Article 5 and such insurance has been delivered to the OWNER and approved by the OWNER, nor shall the CONTRACTOR allow any Subcontractor to commence work on his subcontract until all similar insurance required of the Subcontractor has been so obtained and approved. All such insurance shall remain in effect until final payment and at all times thereafter when CONTRACTOR may be correcting, removing or replacing defective Work in accordance with Article 13. SC -2.06 Preconstruction Conference SC -2.06 Delete paragraph GC -2.06.A in its entirety and insert the following paragraph in its place: A. Immediately after awarding the contract, but before the CONTRACTOR begins work, the Engineer will call a preconstruction conference at a place the ENGINEER designates to establish an understanding among the parties as to the work and to discuss schedules referred to in paragraph 2.05.6, procedures for handling Shop Drawings and other submittals, and maintaining required records. Utility companies and others as appropriate will be requested to attend to dis cuss and coordinate work. SC -3.06 Coordination of Plans, Specifications, and Special Provisions SC -3.06 Add the following new paragraphs immediately after paragraph GC -3.05: SC -3.06 Coordination of Plans, Specifications, and Special Provisions A. In case of discrepancy, the governing order of the documents shall be as follows: 1. Written Interpretations 2, Addenda 3. Specifications 4. Supplementary Conditions to the General Conditions 5. General Conditions 6. Approved Shop Drawings 7. Drawings 8.
