SECTION 01060 <br />REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS AND NOTIFICATION <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 PERMITS REQUIRED <br />A. Florida Department of Environmental Protection: The water plant construction permit <br />from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for the project has been <br />issued. <br />B. Building Permits: The County is currently in the process of obtaining a site plan <br />approval permit for the site and expects to obtain the permit prior to Notice of Award. <br />The Contractor is required to obtain all applicable local building permits from the <br />County, such as concrete, plumbing, and electrical permits. The cost of these permits is <br />to be drawn from an allowance to be included in the bid amount. Unused portions of the <br />allowance for permits is to be returned to the County by final change order in the form of <br />a deduct. Permit fees in excess of the allowance will be compensated by means of <br />change order process. <br />C. Other Permits Required: The Contractor is responsible for obtaining any temporary <br />discharge permits that may be required by local drainage districts. <br />1.02 NOTIFICATION <br />A. Indian River County: The Contractor is required to notify the Indian River County Utilities <br />Department 48 hours prior to initiating construction (Mike Hotchkiss, 772426-1835). <br />B. Utility Companies: Contractor shall notify the following known utility companies in the <br />area 48 hours prior to initiating construction: <br />U.N.C.L.E., 1-800-432-4770 <br />Southern Bell Telephone, W.G. Gallagher, 561468-5538 <br />TO Cablevision, Craig Bowers, 561-567-3444 Ext. 51 <br />A list of contacts can be obtained by contacting (Mike Hotchkiss, 772-226- <br />1835), <br />C.
