D . Retain vertical reinforcement in position at top and bottom of cells and at intervals as <br /> indicated on Plans, but not exceeding 64 bar diameters . Splice reinforcement in accordance <br /> with Drawings and ACI 530 . <br /> E. Wet masonry unit surfaces in contact with grout just prior to grout placement. <br /> F . Grout spaces less than 2 inches in width with fine grout using low lift grouting techniques . <br /> Grout spaces 2 inches or greater in width with course grout using high or low lift grouting <br /> techniques . <br /> G . When grouting is stopped for more than one hour, terminate grout 1 - 112 inch below top of <br /> upper masonry unit to form a positive key for subsequent grout placement. <br /> H . High Lift Grouting: Provide cleanout opening no less than 6 inches high at the bottom of <br /> each cell to be grouted by cutting exterior face shell of masonry unit. <br /> 1 . Clean out masonry cells and cavities with high pressure water spray. Permit complete <br /> water drainage . Request the Engineer to inspect the cells and cavities .
