TUESDAY,.FEBRUARY 20; 1963 <br />The Board.of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />.y Florida, met at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, in a'regular meeting' <br />held at 8:00 o'clock, A: M., Wednesday, February 20, 1963. Alt Dembers <br />were present. Also present were Ed Schmucker, County Engineer;.John <br />Gould, Attorney; end Al Webber and Freda Wright,' Deputy.Clerks.' <br />The Chairman read a telegram from Attorneys Frates,Fay <br />and Floyd with regard to an accident that occured on State Road 611 in <br />which John Wilson and Willie.Browe, an escapee from the State Prison, <br />were involved. The County Attorney stated that he had received one of <br />the same and had replied. <br />A letter was received from the State Road Department, <br />stating that a speed limit had been set on new U. S. 1, at 45 miles per <br />hour through Gifford and Wabasso and 65 miles per hour on the remainder. <br />A copy of the minutes of the Regional Council meeting was <br />received and filed with the Board. Commissioner Waddell reported that <br />a meeting of the Regional Council would be held in Vero Beach on Wednes- <br />day, March 13, 1963, and suggested that all the Commissioners attend. <br />The Chairman reported that there is a scheduled meeting of <br />the State Road Department and this Board for March 14, 1963, at Fort <br />Lauderdale, for the purpose of setting up the road program for the coming <br />year. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commission <br />er Macdonald, and unanimously carried, that a Resolution be adopted <br />authorizing the County to turn over to the State Road Department all right <br />of way for A1A that has been obtained by purchase or otherwise. <br />The County Attorney stated that it would be necessary to <br />have a Resolution for additional money that will be necessary for the <br />condemnation of Oslo road that is now coming up. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, that Resolution be <br />adopted for same. <br />1 fi <br />r� ,,. 8 pAA199 <br />
