RESOLUTION NO, 2008=180 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE CITY OF <br />SEBASTIAN'S STAN MAYFIELD WORKING <br />WATERFRONT GRANT APPLICATION AND THE <br />FISHERMAN'S LANDING SEBASTIAN, INC. <br />GRANT APPLICATION. <br />WHEREAS, the Florida Communities Trust, has been authorized to <br />provide funding opportunities to local government(s) or non-profit entities to preserve <br />and promote the fishing industry in Florida through the Stan Mayfield Working <br />Waterfront Grant program, and <br />WHEREAS, through City of Sebastian Resolution #R-08-25, the City <br />Council has supported the Fisherman's Landing Sebastian, Inc, a non-profit <br />organization, Stan Mayfield Working Waterfront Grant aimed at restoring an historic <br />working waterfront in Sebastian, Indian River County, Florida, and <br />WHEREAS, the Sebastian City Council has further supported the <br />Fisherman's Landing Sebastian SMWWG through Resolution #R-08-28 aimed at <br />acquiring historic waterfront properties that will provide areas for exhibitions, <br />demonstrations, educational venues, and civic events that promote and educate the <br />public about the economic, cultural, and historic heritage of Florida's traditional working <br />waterfronts, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County <br />does hereby agree and support the City of Sebastian in its attempt to promote and <br />foster the redevelopment of Florida's Historic Working Waterfronts, which will ultimately <br />
