d* <br />On Motion by ConAmissionor Macdonald, seconded by Coimissionor. <br />McCullers the following resolution was unanimusly adopted: <br />RES01AITION NO. 67- 71 <br />,nic Board of county commissioners of Indian [liver <br />Gounty, Florida, resolves: <br />1. Pursuant to the authority vested in this Board by <br />Chapter 65-17M, Laws of Florida, this Board does hereby <br />determine that it is in the public Interest and necessary for the <br />safety, health and welfare of the residents and citizens of Indian <br />River County to regulate the disposal of garbage, trash, junk, <br />debris, parts of vehicles or vehicles which are no longer service- <br />able and other abandoned or discarded property or accumulation <br />thereof within the territorial limits of Indian River County, Florida, <br />which he outside of the territorial limits of any Incorporated <br />municipality. When located upon privately owned property within <br />the meaning of this resolution, a vehicle which has not had a currert <br />license plate within a six (6) months' period or a vehicle which <br />remains for a period of at least thirty (30) days in such a condition <br />that It cannot be started or moved under its own power without the <br />addition of parts or repair is hereby declared to be a vehicle which <br />Is no longer serviceable within the meaning of the foregoing law and <br />this resolution. When located upon public property, Including the <br />rights -of -ways for all public roads, the respective periods of time <br />shall be five (5) days. <br />2. The discarding, abandoning or accumulation of garbage, <br />trash, junk, debris, parts of vehicles or vehicles which are no longer <br />serviceable Is hereby prohibited within the areas affected by this <br />resolution, except at the places specifically designated as garbage <br />dumps or disposal areas by this Board, <br />3. No person shall use any property as garbage or trash <br />dumps or for the accumulation or abandonment of discarded property <br />without having obtained a permit from the office of the County Admini- <br />strator. <br />
