RESOLUTION 2025 00,9 <br />- <br />RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SIDEWALK <br />ALONG 41ST STREET FROM 32ND AVENUE TO US HIGHWAY 1 FOR THE 2025 <br />TRANSPORTATION ALTERNATIVES PROGRAM (TAP) APPLICATION FOR THE <br />FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) <br />WHEREAS, the sidewalk construction along 41s' Street from 32nd Avenue to US Highway <br />1 is an Indian River County priority project; and <br />WHEREAS, the 411t Street sidewalk project is identified as a high priority project in the <br />Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan and the Gifford Neighborhood Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Board <br />included this project on its List of Priority Projects (LOPP) the for the Transportation Alternatives <br />Program (TAP); and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Florida, Department of Transportation has requested Indian River <br />County submit to the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, this Resolution of Support <br />for the 2025 TAP application; and <br />WHEREAS, the improvements of the project are located within Indian River County right- <br />of-way of 41St Street. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Chairman of the Board is hereby authorized to sign <br />and submit to the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, a Resolution of Support for <br />the 41st Street sidewalk project. The maintenance of said sidewalk will be maintained by the <br />Indian River County once completed. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner Loar who moved its <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Earman and, upon being put to a <br />vote, the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Joseph E.
