WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7, 1968 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida <br />met in regular session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach Florida on <br />Wednesday, August 7, 1968 at 8:30 o'clock A. M. Present were Jack <br />U. Dritenbas, Chairman; D. B. McCullers, Jr., Vice Chairman; Robert <br />W. Graves and Donald Macdonald. Absent was Richard P. Bogosian. <br />Also present were Jack G. Jennings, County Administrator; Charles <br />Smith, acting as County Attorney; and Alfred H. Webber and Janet <br />N. Burriss, Deputy Clerks.. Absent was Sherman N. Smith, Jr., <br />County Attorney. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order and asked if there were <br />any corrections or additions to the minutes of July 24. There were <br />none, and on a Motion made 'by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried the minutes were <br />approved as written. <br />Mr. Harold McKinney; resident of the Oslo area appeared before <br />the Board regarding a road which runs South from Oslo Road as mentioned <br />in the Minutes of the Board of County Commissioners on April 24, 1968. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Graves, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald and unanimously carried that the County will, upon the <br />delivery of the right-of-way deeds, accept and maintain this road as a <br />County Road. <br />The request of Mrs. McKinney that a school zone be placed on Oslo <br />Road was referred to the Administrator. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers that the specifications required for soil <br />cement be changed as requested by the Administrator. <br />The Administrator stated that he had received a report from J., <br />Wilson, Traffic Engineer of the State Road Department regarding State <br />Road 612. He reported that the State would erect speed limit signs <br />and stop signs on the road. <br />AUG 71968 <br />1 <br />
