That this Board does herewith endorse, approve and urge the
speedy consummation of the plan of the Florida Outdoor Recreational
Development Council or other state agency for the acquisition of land for a
public park to be established in this county in the area between the Atlantic
Ocean and the Indian River and South of the Sebastian Inlet. This Board is of
the view that this large area, substantially undeveloped with a long stretch of
fine beach along the Atlantic Ocean and a long area bordering on the Indian
River, is ideally suited for a public park and that it would be of great benefit
not only to the citizens of this county but also to the entire State of Florida.
2.
