WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23, 1969 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, <br />met in regular session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, on <br />Wednesday, April 23, 1969, at 8:30 o'clock A.M. Present were Jack <br />U. Dritenbas, Chairman; Richard P. Bogosian, Vice Chairman, D. B. <br />McCullers, Jr., Alma Lee Loy and Edward J. Massey. Also present <br />were Jack G. Jennings, County Administrator; Sherman N. Smith, Jr., <br />County Attorney; and Alfred H. Webber and Janet N. Burriss, Deputy <br />Clerks. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order and asked if there <br />were any corrections or additions to the Minutes of April 9. There <br />were none and upon a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded <br />by Commissioner Massey, the minutes of April 9 were unanimously <br />approved as written. <br />L. B. Vocelle, Attorney representing 0. B. Collins and Kathleen <br />Collins, appeared before the Board requesting the abandonment of <br />Pine Avenue. On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded <br />by Commissioner Bogosian, it was unanimously carried that advertisement <br />for public hearing for the abandonment of that part of Pine Avenue <br />from U. S. #1 to Quay Dock Road in Jennings Addition to Quay Subdivision, <br />be authorized. <br />L. B. Vocelle appeared also on behalf of the City of Fellsmere, <br />requesting that the County participate with the City of Fellsmere <br />in the paving of Willow Street. A Motion was made by Commissioner <br />Bogosian, seconded by Commissioner Massey and unanimously carried <br />that the Administrator be authorized to give an estimate of the total <br />construction cost of the paving of a small portion of New York <br />Avenue and Willow Street and report this estimate at a later meeting. <br />The hour of 9:00 o'clock having passed, the Chairman read <br />the following notice with proof of publication attached, to -wit: <br />n i qq <br />APR23`661 <br />mu 12 PAGE163 <br />
