ORDINANCE NO. 86-17 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY', FLORIDA; AMENDING SECTION <br />16-17 OF THE CODE OF LAWS AND ORDINANCES OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR REMOVAL OF <br />MEMBERS OF THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY MOBILE HOME <br />ADVISORY BOARD; AMENDING SECTION 16-18 OF THE <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY CODE OF LAWS AND ORDINANCES <br />TO PROVIDE FOR THE ORGANIZATION, QUORUM AND MEETINGS <br />OF THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY MOBILE HOME ADVISORY <br />BOARD; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION IN CODE; <br />SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that: <br />The Indian River County Code of Laws and Ordinances <br />Section 16-17 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Removal of Members <br />Any member of the Board who ceases to be a qualified <br />elector or resident, or who becomes a candidate for <br />public office shall immediately forfeit his office. The Mobile Home Advisory Board may,by majority <br />vote,.remove from office any member of the Board who <br />fails to attend three consecutive meetings, unless such <br />absence is excused for health or welfare reasons. A <br />vacancy so created shall be immediately reported to the <br />Board of County Commissioners by the Chairman of the <br />Mobile Home Advisory Board or, if there. be no chairman <br />.or the chairman has vacated his position, by any <br />remaining member of the Mobile.Home Advisory Board. <br />SECTION 2 <br />Indian River County Code of Laws and Ordinances Section <br />16-18 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />The Mobile Home Advisory Board shall initially <br />select a chairman and such other officers as deemed <br />necessary and desirable who shall serve at the pleasure <br />of the advisory board.' The initially selected board <br />shall serve until the first meeting in January, 1983, at <br />which time new elections shall be held and continue to <br />be held annually and thereafter. The Board shall meet <br />at least quarterly once a year at any appropriate place <br />and shall may arrange a time for holding regular <br />meetings of the Board and for such other meetings as <br />shall be necessary. A.majority of the members of the <br />Board shall constitute a quorum. A majority vote of <br />those members present and voting at any meeting shall be <br />sufficient to enable taking any action.
