INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 80-2 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE <br />71-3, AS AMENDED, SECTION 23 SITE PLAN APPROVAL, BY <br />PROVIDING A PROCEDURE FOR MINOR SITE PLAN APPROVALS <br />FOR APPLICATIONS REGARDING DECKS, FENCES, MOBILE <br />HOMES, POLE BARNS, POOLS, PORCHES, TERRACES, AND <br />WALLS; ADDITIONALLY, FOR PRINCIPLE STRUCTURES WITH <br />UP TO 2500 SQUARE FEET OF IMPERVIOUS SURFACES AND <br />ADDITIONS TO EXISTING STRUCTURES WHICH ADDITIONS <br />DO NOT EXCEED THE LESSOR OF TEN PERCENT (10%) OF <br />THE EXISTING STRUCTURE OR 2500 SQUARE FEET; PRO- <br />VIDING FOR RIGHT TO A HEARING AND APPEAL <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. Sub -section M and N of Indian River County Ordinance <br />71-3, as amended, Section 23, are hereby amended to read Sub- <br />sections N and 0, respectively. <br />2. A new sub -section M of Section 23 is hereby added to <br />Indian River County Ordinance 71-3, as amended, which new section <br />shall read as follows: <br />Section 23. <br />M. Nothwithstanding other provisions of this Ordinance, <br />there is hereby created a procedure for the approval of <br />minor improvements such as decks, fences, mobile home <br />installations, pole barny,pools, porches, terraces, <br />walls, etc., which improvements: <br />(a) do not require drainage review as provided in <br />Section 23 of Indian River County Ordinance 71-3, <br />as amended. <br />(b) involve permanent structures that do not exceed <br />2500 square feet in size, including impervious <br />surfaces, such as driveways and sidewalks. <br />(c) involves additions to existing structures which <br />do not exceed the lesser of ten percent (108) in- <br />crease over the previous original structure's total <br />square footage or 2500 square feet, including other <br />impervious surfaces (parking spaces, drives and <br />loading areas). <br />
