Tuesday, October 4, 1988 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />October 4, 1988, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Gary C. <br />Wheeler, Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and <br />Carolyn K. Eggert. Absent was Chairman Don C. Scurlock, Jr., who <br />was attending a Water Pollution Control Convention at Dallas, <br />Texas. Also present were William G. Collins, II, Acting County <br />Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of <br />County Commissioners; Joseph Baird, OMB Director; and Virginia <br />Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. - <br />Vice Chairman Wheeler called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Melody St. Germain, First Community Church, gave <br />the invocation, and County Attorney Vitunac led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Commissioner Eggert requested that a Proclamation re Mental <br />Illness Awareness Week be added to the Consent Agenda as Item 6H. <br />She also asked that Item 8A (2) Main Library Architect Contract <br />be deleted from the agenda as permission to go ahead and <br />negotiate was given last week. <br />OCT 4 1988 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Commis- <br />sioner Bird, Chairman Scurlock being absent, the Board <br />unanimously (4-0) added to and deleted items from the <br />Agenda as described above. <br />BOOK <br />,��F l 8 <br />
