3120170055791 RECORDED IN THE RECORDS OF JEFFREY R.SMITH,CLERK OF CIRCUIT COURT INDIAN RIVER CO FL <br /> BK: 3058 PG: 1352,9/28/2017 11:57 AM <br /> , <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> oVERCO <br /> ,.$"' Alt.:1`` % <br /> * * <br /> ORIvi 4+ <br /> PROCLAMATION DECLARING AND EXTENDING A LOCAL STATE <br /> OF EMERGENCY IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN <br /> CONNECTION WITH HURRICANE IRMA <br /> WHEREAS, on September 4th, 2017, Governor Rick Scott, in his capacity as Governor <br /> of the State of Florida, issued Executive Order Number 17-235, declaring that a state of <br /> emergency exists in all or portions of the State of Florida (including Indian River County) by <br /> reason of Hurricane Irma; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to section 101.10(1) of the Code of Indian River County, and <br /> Resolution 2016-120 of the Board of County Commissioners, the County Administrator/Indian <br /> River County Emergency Services District Director is authorized to declare a local state of <br /> emergency upon making a determination that a natural disaster has occurred or is imminent, <br /> requiring immediate and expeditious action, <br /> WHEREAS, in my capacity as County Administrator and Indian River County <br /> Emergency Services District Director, I determined that, by reason of Hurricane Irma, the threat <br /> of a natural disaster had occurred or was imminent, requiring immediate and expeditious action, <br /> and declared that a local state of emergency existed in all of Indian River County, Florida, <br /> effective as of 1:00 p.m., on the 7th day of September, 2017; and <br /> WHEREAS, in my capacity as County Administrator and Indian River County <br /> Emergency Services District Director, I determined that, by reason of Hurricane Irma, that a <br /> local state of emergency existed and continued in all of Indian River County, Florida, effective <br /> as of 1:00 p.m.,on the 14th day of September, 2017; and <br /> WHEREAS, in my capacity as County Administrator and Indian River County <br /> Emergency Services District Director, I determined that, by reason of Hurricane Irma, that a <br /> local state of emergency existed and continued in all of Indian River County, Florida, effective <br /> as of 1:00 p.m., on the 21st day of September, 2017; and <br /> WHEREAS, as of September 28t, 2017, Indian River County is still suffering the effects <br /> of Hurricane Irma, which continue to pose a threat to the public health, safety and welfare of the <br /> citizens of Indian River County; <br /> A TRUE COPY <br /> CERTIFICATION ON LAST PAGE <br /> J.R.
