}} 1'- <br />2/21/89(WGCORD)LEGAL(WGC/nhm) ` <br />.\ 4 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89- 25 <br />i A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, RE-ESTABLISHING, RENAMING, AND <br />EXPANDING THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY MARINE <br />ADVISORY BOARD AND REPEALING RESOLUTION <br />NO. 87-22. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is greatly affected <br />by, dependent upon, and served by the Indian River Lagoon; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the <br />citizens of Indian River County to maintain, preserve and <br />enhance the natural beauty, water quality and usefulness of <br />the Indian River Lagoon as an irreplaceable natural <br />resource; and <br />WHEREAS, the Marine Advisory Board has recommended <br />that the above purposes and the intergovernmental <br />coordination requirements of the Local Government <br />Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act, <br />F.S. 163.3177(4)(a) and F.S. 163.3177(6)(h), can be best <br />advanced by expanding the Marine Advisory Board to also <br />serve as the Narrows Watershed Action Committee for the <br />Marine Resources Council of East Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, It is the desire of the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County to expand the Marine <br />Advisory Board by repealing Resolution No. 87-22 anti <br />renaming and adding to the membership of the Board to <br />accomplish the above -stated objectives, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida that: <br />1. Indian River County Resolution No. 87-22 is <br />hereby repealed. <br />2. The Indian River County Marine Advisory and <br />Narrows Watershed Action Committee is hereby established to <br />consist of the following members who will be appointed by <br />the Board of County Commissioners: <br />1 <br />
