INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br /> Oslo Road Widening between 43 `d Avenue and 27th Avenue <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING/LAND SURVEYING <br /> SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN KIMLEY-HORN AND ASSOCIATES, INC. AND <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA. <br /> This is an amendment to the existing Engineering/Land Surveying Services Agreement (AGREEMENT) <br /> dated May 24th, 2005 between Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. (ENGINEER) and Indian River County <br /> (COUNTY) . This amendment addresses changes in " Section III - Scope of Services", " Section V - <br /> Compensation" and "Section XVI — Duration of Agreement" of the AGREEMENT. <br /> Amendment Description <br /> This Amendment includes the following : <br /> "SECTION III — SCOPE OF SERVICES " is being modified to incorporate the following: <br /> The COUNTY desires to have subsurface utility locates performed along Oslo Road between 27th Avenue <br /> and a point approximately 1 ,000 feet west of 581h Avenue (2 .2 miles) to aid in corridor design. Oslo Road <br /> between 27th Avenue and 43'd Avenue ( 1 .0 mile) is being designed by the ENGINEER. Oslo Road <br /> between 43 `d Avenue and 58th Avenue is being designed by the COUNTY. <br /> Subsurface Utility Locates <br /> The ENGINEER will utilize ASCE Standard 38-02 — "Standard Guidelines for the Collection and <br /> Depiction of Existing Subsurface Utility Data" on this project. The ENGINEER will research and <br /> obtain available utility records (Quality Level "D" utility as-builts) along the corridor and <br /> horizontally mark (Quality Level `B" utility designations) and survey, from project control <br /> provided by the ENGINEER/ COUNTY, two known toneable underground utilities (water main <br /> and force main) . <br /> The project is approximately 2 .2 miles in length. These utilities will be marked utilizing standard <br /> marking paint and/or flags to ensure accuracy in the collection of the information. The <br /> ENGINEER will provide a 2D cadd file depicting the surveyed utility designations along the <br /> corridor. From this utility designation file, the ENGINEER/ COUNTY will be able to determine <br /> potential conflict sites . Once potential utility conflicts have been identified by the ENGINEER/ <br /> COUNTY, the ENGINEER will perform test holes (Quality Level "A" utility locates) and survey <br /> the locations from existing survey control. The ENGINEER will update the 2D designation cadd <br /> file with each test hole and also provide the COUNTY with a test hole summary report depicting <br /> horizontal coordinates, vertical elevation, direction, type and approximate size of each utility <br /> found. <br /> H :\47035042\WP\Amendment 'v1MENDAOI .doe <br />
