M. Tuesday, October 15, 1957. All membersu,� <br />were present. Also present were Sherman N. Smith, Jr., Attorney, Ed Schmucker, County Eng- <br />ineer, Douglas Baker, Clerk, and Katherine Morrison, Secretary. 'm <br />Homer C. Fletcher appeared before the Board and stated that he had attended a <br />meeting where Senator Holland stated he had requested aerial photographs be made of parts of ii <br />Florida, Indian River County being one of the sections, by the U. S. Department of Agriculture.' <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Commissioner Macdonald and <br />unanimously carried, the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: V • <br />R E S O L U T I O N --- Aerial Photographs <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County, Florida, is in great need of aerial photographs of thel <br />area of this County for its planning of a bulkhead line along the Indian River, the assess- <br />went of property and the development of an overall plan of streets and roads in the County, <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners for Indian River County, Florida, <br />that this Board does herewith commend the Honorable Spessard L. Holland, United States Senator's <br />from Florida, for his active efforts to date in securing aerial photographs for this section <br />of Florida and this Board does herewith respectfully request the United States Department of <br />Agriculture to immediately have such aerial photographs made; • <br />and <br />
