SECTION I - GENERAL
This is an Amendment to the Professional Architectural/Engineering Services Contract (CONTRACT)
between Indian River County and Hanson Professional Services, Inc . (formerly Hanson Engineers, Inc .) dated '
February 10, 1998 .
SECTION V — COMPENSATION
Contract dated Feb . 10, 1998 Professional Services Fee $ 174,500.00
Amendment No . 1 dated Mar. 21 , 2000 Amended Fee $2205456. 00
Amendment No . 2 dated Dec . 11 , 2001 Additional Services $ 10,700 . 00

SECTION VI — ADDITIONAL WORK
Additional services work shall include the services of Hanson Professional Services, Inc . , to revise the construction
drawings and specifications for Building `B" on site no . 1 , as detailed in the attached letter, marked as "Exhibit A",
to accommodate the user' s requested design changes, as follows :
In room B 100, relocate the vending machines and time clock from B 106 to the North wall of B 100 .
In room B 104 , add a six-foot high block wall along the East wall, South of the entry door, to provide
privacy to men using the urinals .
In room B 105 , relocate the four-foot counter to the East wall and add a window at the counter. Add a
doorbell at the counter. Add a dutch door on the North wall, where the counter used to be .
In room B 106, delete the walls and doors on the North, East, and South sides . Relocate the vending
machines and time clock to the North wall of B 100 . Relocate the ice machines to the West wall, one each on either
side of the electric water coolers . Relocate the eyewash and emergency shower to be between the man door and the
ten-foot roll-up door in front of B 107 .
In room B 107, move the six-foot roll-up door to the outside East wall . Relocate the eyewash and
emergency shower from B 106 to between the man door and the ten-foot roll-up door on the outside of the East wall.
Add an exhaust fan over the gas can/pump storage area and another on the West wall. Add security louvers on the
North and West walls for ventilation. Add a telephone with a bell on the South wall, next to the sink.

SECTION XXI - OTHER PROVISIONS
A. Receipt of an executed copy of this Amendment shall constitute the COUNTY ' S notice to the
ARCHITECT to proceed with the work.
B . All provisions of the CONTRACT not specifically modified shall remain in full force and effect.
C . This Agreement, regardless of where executed, shall be governed by and construed according to the
laws of the State of Florida. Venue for any lawsuit brought by either party against the other party or
otherwise arising out of this agreement shall be in Indian River County, Florida, or, in the event of
federal jurisdiction, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Hanson Professional Services Inc . is hereby submitting this for additional architectural
and engineering services . These services shall include additional design and plan revision
services for the Owner/ User requested changes to Building B on Site No . 1 of Indian River
County Facilities Maintenance Complex project .
The following additional services shall be provided :
■ The Architect shall prepare a revised floor plan based on the Owner/ User requested
building design changes . This conceptual plan shall be submitted to the Client and
User for approval .
■ The Architect/ Engineer shall m ?ke necessary construction document revisions to
accommodate the design changes identified in the approved conceptual drawing .
■ The Architect/ Engineer shall submit revised documents to the Construction Manager
for cost estimating .
• The Architect ' Engineer shall submit revised documents to the local authority having
jurisdiction for reviev., and building permit modifications .

The above mentioned services shall be provided for a lump sum fee of $3 , 580 . 00
including all expenses .
Hanson will begin making the document revisions outlined in this proposal immediately
unless directed otherwise .
