Supporting documentation included in Exhibit "A"
EXHIBIT "A"
1 RELOCATE 4" AND 8" SCUM LINES Add $3,010 .00
LOCATION : 30" Secondary Clarifier Effluent to the Automatic Backwash Filter
The existing 4" Scum line and the existing 8" WAS line running between the new clarifier and the fitter
have a center line elevation of 12 . 80' . The new 30" effluent line has a centerline elevation of 13 .25' .
The existing lines were lowered below the 30" line utilizing mechanical joint 45 degree bends with
accessories . (4 each 4" MJ 45 and 4 each 8" MJ with megalugs and labor. )
2 CLARIFIER / FILTER ALIGNMENT Add $23983 .00
LOCATION : 30" Secondary Clarifier Effluent ( 30" x 16" Tee, Spool Piece, & 30" 90 Degree
Bend)
The east / west centerline dimension of the new Clarifier No. 3 and the new Backwash Filter are offset
approximately 20" . Referring to Drawing M7 , the makeup of the 30" Tee, the 30" spool piece, and the
30" 90 degree bend is approximately 64" . The Contract Drawings show the 30" pipe from the 90
degree bend at the Clarifier installed over to the center of the filter. Due to the 5'4" offset additional
fittings are required .
The 30" influent pipe (the 90 degree bend and embedded slab pipe at the filter) will be turned on a 45
degree angle out from the filter. ( 1 each 30" MJ 45 degree bend with megalugs and labor.)
3 30" PIPE / DUCTBANK CONFLICT Add $ 10, 580 .00
LOCATION : 30" Secondary Clarifier Effluent to the Automatic Backwash Filter
Existing electrical ductbank is located in the same location as the new 30" effluent from the new Filter.
The pipe will be relocated to avoid the conflict with the ductbank. (2 each 30" MJ 45 degree bends and
pipe relocation labor. )
4 CLARIFIER INFLUENT ELEVATIONS Add $39012.00
LOCATION : 20" Secondary Clarifier Influent
Pipe elevation problems : The new 20" clarifier influent pipe elevations are shown on the drawings at
differnet elevations . Due to the different elevations and the location of the existing pipe that the new
pipe ties into, the space needed to make the connection needs to be increased . Excavate more of the
existing pipe and cut the pipe to install the new piping . ( 1 each solid sleeve and labor. )
5 PISTA GRIT - HEADWORKS COATING REPAIR Add $950.00
The Special Coating installed in the Pista Grit Chamber ( installed on the original project) had
delaminated from the concrete. The old coating was removed , the damaged area was sandblasted and
new coating applied .
EXHIBIT "A"
6 GRIT CHUTE REVISIONS Add $ 1 ,850 .00
The grit chutes shown on the Contract Drawings were extended down closer to the dumpster and
rubber chutes were added at the ends of both as directed by the County .
7 NEW CHLORINE ANALYZER Add $59166 .00
As directed by the County, when the new Disinfection Basin was added no provision was made in the
documents to monitor the Chlorine Residual so as directed , the analyzer was added .
Hach CL 17 Total Chlorine Analyzer $3, 561 . 39
Little Giant Model C-07147-40 $ 141 .24
centrifugal submersible
low flow pump
115 VAC
18 feet cord included
Flexible hose, PVC pipe, pipe supports, fasteners & installation labor $1 , 463. 37
8 HOFFMAN PLC ENCLOSURE Add $29650 .00
On the instrumentation drawings, the New Main PLC # 2 Back Panel was not shown to be in it own
enclosure. This Panel required an enclosure in the electrical room .
9 SITE GRADING & DRAINAGE MODIFICATIONS Add $215737.00
Raise four (4) each electrical manholes $37428. 00
Concrete work, drilling & epoxying rebar dowels, formwork, concrete redi mix,
replacing aluminum covers, labor, and insurance & bond cost
Drainage pipe and grading $182309. 00
Aluminum grating, stainless steel anchors, 24" DR-18 pipe, concrete pads, rebar,
140 ft of 6" PVC pipe w/couplings, 180 ft of 8" PVC pipe w/couplings, 8" wye, 6" tee,
6" 45 degree bends, glue, PVC cleaner, excavation & backfill for pipe, equipment
cost plus fuel , sidewalk & stair rehab at the Disinfection Basin, regrading of
contours, labor, and insurance & bond cost
10 ELECTRICAL ISSUES Add $3, 564.00
Filters - Sheet E-16 shows a single point connection for the travelling bridge. There $ 1 ,416. 00
is additional electrical work required to include:
Pumps, beacons, receptacles, limit switches, term. At control panel
Head Works - Sheet E-12 shows an "existing" conduit from BSCP-2 to C-4. This $2 , 148. 00
conduit did not exist.
Route wiring to C-4/PLC 1/0 through an existing conduit from BSCP-2 to an existing
