Home My WebLink About2008-316 AMENDMENT NUMBER 2 TO WORK ORDER NUMBER 4 This Amendment Number 2 to Work Order Number 4 is entered into as of this 23rd day of SePterber 200 8 , pursuant to that certain Continuing Contract Agreement for Professional Services entered into as of April 6 , 2004 and amended effective April 7 , 2007 (as so amended , the "Agreement") , by and between Indian River County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida ("County") and MASTELLER & MOLER , INC . ("CONSULTANT") . 1 . The County has selected the Consultant to perform the professional services set forth in existing Work Order Number 4, Effective Date July 11 , 2006 . 2 . The County and the Consultant desire to amend this Work Order as set forth on Exhibit 1 attached to this Amendment and made a part hereof by this reference . The professional services will be performed by the Consultant for the fee schedule set forth in Exhibit 2 and within the timeframe more particularly set forth in Exhibit 3 , all in accordance with the terms and provisions set forth in the Agreement. 3 . From and after the Effective Date of this Amendment , the above-referenced Work Order is amended as set forth in this Amendment. Pursuant to paragraph 1 .4 of the Agreement, nothing contained in any Work Order shall conflict with the terms of the Agreement and the terms of the Agreement shall be deemed to be incorporated in each individual Work Order as if fully set forth herein . Y:\mm\Projects\2006\0627\ADMIN\Contracts\AMENDMENT #2\0627_Exhibit 3 Amen#2_082508.doc F a Our File #0627LA August 26 , 2008 NON -EXCLUSIVE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING AGREEMENT CONTINUING CONSULTING SERVICES AMENDMENT #2 TO " EXHIBIT 1 " Work Authorization #4 , which was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on July 11 , 2006 , included Engineering Services in connection with conversion of an existing 8" force main to an 8" reuse pipeline. Addendum #1 was approved to authorize Engineering Services for the removal of the existing 8" force main and its replacement with a 16" reuse main in accordance with the Reuse Master Plan . Since the route of the proposed 16" reuse main was to follow the route of the existing 8" force main , logic would dictate that the route would be acceptable to the Indian River Farms Water Control District (IRFWCD) . Surveying and construction plans were prepared and completed on that basis . A permit application was prepared and submitted to IRFWCD which resulted in a meeting on August 7 , 2008 . During that meeting , the IRFWCD indicated that in some areas following the route of the existing 8" force main with the proposed 16" reuse main would not be acceptable and required an altemate route involving 6200 LF of pipeline . This Amendment #2 is presented to revise the plans and satisfy this requirement of IRFWCD in order to secure their permit . Since Amendment #1 Engineering Services including surveying and design have been completed , additional services will be necessary to re-route portions of the proposed 16" reuse main as required by the IRFWCD . Amendment #2 will therefore provide additional Engineering and Surveying Services to design the reuse main route as required by IRFWCD . The additional services covered by this Amendment #2 to the project will generally consist of the following : • Survey and Engineering services to design the abandonment in place of approximately 61200 LF of existing 8" force main and the construction of approximately 6 , 200 LF of 16" reuse main along the route as required by IRFWCD . There is no increase in the estimated construction cost of the project as described previously in Addendum #1 which is $2 , 000 , 000. 00 .
