The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River
County met as a Board of Equalization at the County Court-
house, Vero Beach, Florida, at 8:30 A.M. on Monday, August 1,
1966. Present were Chairman Robert W. Graves, Commissioners
B.Q. Waddell, Jr. and Donald Macdonald, County Attorney John
H. Sutherland, County Engineer Edwin SShmucker and Deputy
Clerk A.H.Webber. Absent were Vice -Chairman D.B.MeCullers and
Commissioner Jerre J. Haffield.

purpose of hearing complaints and
receiving testimony as to the value
of any property, real or personal,
as fixed by said Tax Assessor of
Indian River County, Florida, and
reviewing, analyzing and perfecting
the assessments as fixed by said
Tax Assessor of Indian River Coun-
ty, Florida, on the Tax Assessment,
Rolls of Indian River County, Flor-
ida, for the year 1968 as shall ap-
pear by said Tax Assessment Rolls
to be submitted to the Board of
County Commissioners of Indian
River County, Florida, at that time,

session for those purposes from day

The County Attorney read the foregoing notice. Commissioner
Waddell moved, seconded by Commissioner Macdonald, and it was
unanimously voted that, inasmuch as the 1966
River County is not yet completed; the Board
stand adjourned until notified by the County
that the Tax Roll is ready for equAlization.

The Board of Equalization then adjournedy and re -convened
as the Board of County Commissioners.
Bilis and accounts against the County having been audited,
were examinedwand found to be correct and approved. Warrants
were issued in settlement of the same, as follows:
Road & Bridge Fund, Warrant No. 3751
Fine & Forfeiture Fund, Warrant No. 578
Such bills and accounts being on file in the office of the
Clerk of the Circuit Court, the warrants so issued from the
respective funds being listed in the Supplemental Minute
Book as provided by the rules of the State Auditor, reference
to such record and list so recorded being made a part of these
minutes.
Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by
Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried, -that the
following Item to Item transfer be authorized:

Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by
Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried, that County
Engineer Schmucker be requested to investigate.the application
of Norbert F.. Stanny et ux for purchase of.submerged lands in
connection with Lots 12 and 13 of Kansas City Colony. (Trustees
I.I.File # 1843-31-253.12 ), and to make formal objection to
the I.I.Board on behalfof _the Board of County Commissioners
if it is found that this application.is in conflict with the
County's interests in Round Island Park.
County Engineer Schmucker notified the Board that Dr. Ernest
R. Bartley, of Gainesville, who was retained by the County as
a zoning and planning consultant, will be at the County
Commissioners' Room in the Courthouse on Wednesday, August 3, 1966
at 1:30 P.M. to present his preliminary report on zoning of
Highway A -1-A from the northern limits of the Town of Indian
River Shores to the Sebastian Inlet. The Board requested the
County Engineer to invite the County Zoning and Variance Boards
to be present.

for the Indian River County Courthouse Annex, for the con-
sideration of the Board prior to their adoptions
There being no further business, on mation made, seconded
and carried, the Board then adjourned.
