DALRYMPLE 'DALRYMPLE INSURANCE AGENCY /41A/16 twa 10 Kt rt • Independent Insurance Agents of Indian River County Vero Beach, Florida March 1, 1967 Mr. Robert Graves, Chairman Indian River County Commissioners Vero Beach, Florida Gentlemen: The Big °' I °° want$ to thank you for letting us present. `you with an insurance proposal. We want to congratulate you on accepting proposals. We firmly believe that you should deal with one responsible person or association: 1. Insurance is a service of providing a proper program to reimburse you in the event of a loss. A poor program provides poor reimbursement and is costly to the taxpayers. Anyone can quote you insurance rates. Few take the time to properly evaluate and recommend a program of insur- ance. We believe 6 heads are better than one. The Big "I" is providing you with a service --- a survey of your properties - their replacement cost their .insurable values - the amount of present insurance. A similar service in the past has been purchased for in excess of $2,000.00. We are providing this as a display of confidence that you will enable The Big "I" to act as your Insurance Agent of Record. 2. We are appointing Warren Zeuch, Jr., as Agent In Charge and Louis Schlitt as Second Agent In Charge. Both will have all policies and will be'available at all times for the complete program. - 1 - MEMBER AGENTS BANACK INSURANCE AGENCY VERO INSURANCE INC. We are presently handling the insurance programs for The City of Vero Beach and the Indian River Memorial Hospital. For your edification only - the Commission is kept by the agent, or agents, having the best. proposal, and not divided up with all members. However, 40% of the commission is paid to The Association to carry out its civic programs - in Safety work with Fire Prevention, Accident Prevention, Safety Council, and just recently gave $600.00 to The City for sending a policeman, Mr. Cochran, to school. We are the only recognized associ&tion of Professional General Insurance Agents in this city. Our Association has, during the past 3 years, spent much time and effort, as well as money, on civic endeavors. Here is a breakdown for the past 3 years. 1964 - 1965 1965 - 1966 1966 - 1967 TOTAL $290.37 668.66 2,143.07 $3,102.10 4. In our proposal we ..have strongly improved your program by writing blanket insurance in lieu of specific. In this way you will never be under insured for a loss as long as the Statement of Values are completed properly. We have taken advantage of modern packages and coverages resulting in providing savings up to 50%. This includes recommending deductables up to $100.00 to save greatly on the cost factor. However, we also certainly gave weight to claims repre- sentation, engineering and company reputation, in selecting our proposals. "Best" rating is A+AAAAA, the highest obtainable.
