CONTRACT EXTENSION OF THE i
WETLANDS OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT
FOR
THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF UTILITIES SERVICES
THIS CONTRACT EXTENSION OF THE WETLANDS OPERATION AND
MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT ("Agreement ') dated this 12th day of August, 2003 , by Indian
River County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida ("County") and Ecotech Consultants , Inc .
("Contractor") ,
BACKGROUND RECITALS
A . On April 18 , 2000, the County and the Contractor entered into a "Contract Extension of the
Operation and Maintenance Agreement ' ("Extended Agreement ') .
B . The Extended Agreement had an initial term of two years from April 18 , 2000 ,
C . The Extended Agreement provides, in Article 5 , Paragraph 5 . 2 , for three (3 ) separate
annual renewals at the same yearly contract fee.
D . The parties have extended the Extended Agreement, on the terms and conditions set forth
therein and in a Contract Extension Agreement dated April 16 , 2002 for a one-year period,
commencing April 19 , 2002 , and ending April 18 , 2003 .
E . The parties now desire to extend the Extended Agreement, on the terms and conditions set
forth therein and herein for both years of the remaining two year renewal periods , commencing
effective April 19 , 2002 , and ending April 18 , 2005 , subject to the right of the parties to terminate the
Extended Agreement sooner in accordance with its terms .
NOW THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency
of which is hereby acknowledged, the parties agree as follows :
1 . The background recitals are true and correct, and form a material part of this Agreement .
2 . The Extended Agreement is hereby extended from a two -year period, commencing effective
April 19 , 2003 , and ending on April 18 , 2005 , subject to the right of the parties to terminate the
Extended Agreement sooner in accordance with its terms .
3 . All remaining terms of the Extended Agreement, not herein amended, shall remain in full
force and effect.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Agreement as of the day and
year first written above.
