On February 11 , 2003 , COUNTY and Recipient entered into a Cost Share Grant Contract ("Contract") for the purpose of partially funding and fully implementing the agricultural water quality best management practices (" BMP") contemplated in the Contractual Services Agreement with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (" Department") for the Indian River Citrus Area Water Quality/Quantity Protection Program , [Contract FDACS #6800] ("Cost Share Agreement") and more specifically set forth in the Operation and Maintenance Plan and the Applicant Evaluation Review Sheet attached to the Contract as Exhibit B . B . The Cost Share Agreement allows for modification to the " Cost Share" portion of Exhibit B of the Cost Share Grant Contract , NOW THEREFORE , for good and valuable consideration , the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged , the parties hereto , intending to be legally bound , covenant and agree to amend the Contract as follows : 1 . From and after the Effective Date of this Amendment , the Applicant Evaluation Review Sheet portion of Exhibit B to the Contract is amended by adding Exhibit B - 1 , bearing a date of December 8 , 2003 , that is attached to this Agreement. 2 . All terms and provisions of the Contract not amended by this Amendment shall be and remain in full force and effect . 3 . This irrigation system was designed and installed to apply irrigation water to . meet the needs of the crops without causing excessive erosion or runoff The estimated life span of this installation is at least ! b years. The life of this system can be assured and usually increased by developing and carrying out a good operation and maintenance program. This practice will require you to perform periodic maintenance and may also require operational items to maintain satisfactory performance. Here are some recommendations to help you develop a good operation and maintenance program.
