First it processes records in OLEDB or ODBC compliant databases-creating a point GIS layer represetning',this data. Each record is geocoded based on eidsting GIS layers such as address points and parcels. Once a match is found, the database is updated with the X, Y-location associated with that record. The GeoManagera' is also capable of automating the moving of files from one location to another and breaking network shares during the move. This is highly useful for updating files that are in use by network users . For example;<GeoManagerTMcan output it's shapefiles to a temporary location, break a network share to disconnect users , move the output files to the .desired 'final location,, and then re-establish the network share. The GeoManager"`is used to create and maintain point based GIS layers. These output layers can be in the form of shapefiles or ArcSDE layers. Running the Program GeoManager' can be run as an automated Windows service or as an interactive application. When running as a service, GeoManager ' can be configured to perform it's operations at preset times everyday in order to keep data properly updated. When immediate output of a particular dataset is desired, the interactive version of GeoManager "" allows for the selective processing of the configured operations .
