Additional Geotechnical Engineering and Grant Application
Preparation
This Work Order shall be included as an Attachment to the "Continuing Co tract
Agreement for Professional Services" (" Agreement") dated March 15, 2001 i, between
Indian River County, Florida ("COUNTY") and HydroMentia, Inc. ("Consult nt"), and
upon execution and delivery of a "notice -to -proceed" shall become part of the
Agreement. It is intended and required that all services described within thi Work Order
shall be completed and provided in accordance with applicable provisions ithin the
Agreement.
Services described within this Work Order shall include those associated ith
1)completion of a request for a grant through the St. Johns River Water M nagement
District (SJRWMD) Stormwater Management Projects Cost -Share Progra , and 2)
additional geotechnical engineering and site investigations associated with the selected
site located at the County's facility at the junction of 74th Avenue and SW 4 h Street. The
need for additional geotechnical engineering and site work is associated with the
decision to return planned facilities to the County's closed C&D landfill site. The
presence of buried debris requires further field investigations, and the engineering of
methods for management of any buried debris encountered during construction.
In its performance of services as detailed within this Work Order, HydroMe
provide information, including engineering drawings and calculations, whic
considered proprietary to HydroMentia. COUNTY agrees to use such infoi
to evaluate its interest in purchasing from HydroMentia, the installed proce

COMPENSATION
The COUNTY agrees to pay and the CONSULTANT agrees to acc
services rendered according to Attachment 1 of this WORK ORDER, with
charge under this WORK ORDER of $7,100 as set forth below.
1. FEE SCHEDULE
Payment for services for additional geotechnical site work and engineering
of the actual amount of additional geotechnical site work provided by a self
geotechnical consultant, namely Geosyntec, Inc. of Boca Raton, Florida, ni
$2,000, and an additional $2,600 for equipment rental and additional engin
total fee not to exceed $4,600. Payment for completion of the SJRWMD gi
application shall be $2,500. Total fees for Work Order 2 shall not exceed $

The COUNTY shall make monthly partial payments to the CONSUL

1. TIME FOR COMPLETION
The geotechnical fieldwork shall be completed prior to July 31, 2005. The <
engineering shall be completed on schedule associated with 100% design
as noted within Work Order 1. The completed SJRWMD grant application
submitted to the County no later than July 22, 2005,
