The severalz bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were
examined and found to be correct, were approved, and warrants ordered issued in settle-
ment of same. The said bills and accounts being on file in the Clerk's office, and .
the warrants so issued from the various funds being listed and set out in detail in the
County finance record and reference to said Finance record is made a part of these
minutes as fully and completely as if the said warrants were set out herein in detail.
The several County Depositories filed their monthly statements showing receipts
and disbursements of the various funds of the County, which have been checked were f
to -be correct.
There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board
adjourned until the next regular meeting, unless sooner called together by the Chairman

VEDNEWAY2 APRIT, 24th 1929.
The Board of county Commissioners in arra. for Indian River County, Florida, met at
the Court Rouse in Vera Beach on Wednesday, April 24th 1929 at 10 o'clock A.M. with
the following members of the Board presents Albert O.Helseth, Chairman; J.D.Yongue;
J.W.ImBruce; T.J.P.Hamilton and John H.Atkin. .Also present were Miles Warren, Clerk,
and Clark S.Rice, sheriff.
The Chaimn.an announced this meet was called for the purpose of discussing the
advisability of placing guards on the highway to protect this territory against the
Mediterranean Fly.
County agent, W.E.Evans, was present and discussed the suitation with respect to
the pest.
Motion by J.D.Yongue, and seconded that the City Council of ,Sebastian, Vabasso,
and Vero Beach be requested to pass necessary ordinance to place guards on the streets
of the cities and town to prohibit transportation of fruit and vegetables unless
properly inspected and certificate of authority to transport same given, except removi
fruit from grove to packing houses in this County. Upon being put to a vote this
motion was unanimously adopted.
It was ordered that the County Engineer turn over the Universal Crane to the
County agent together with as many tracks and men as necessary to clear out fruit in
abandoned groves in this County and bury and destroy the same.
The Board then adjourned.
