Home My WebLink About2006-355 s- WORK ORDER NUMBER 8 This Work Order Number 8 is entered into as of this 10 day of October 2006 ("Effective Date") pursuant to that certain Continuing Contract Agreement for Professional Services entered into as of April 6, 2004 ("Agreement"), by and between Indian River County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida ("COUNTY") and Masteller and Moler, Inc. ("CONSULTANT"). The COUNTY has selected the CONSULTANT to perform the professional services set forth in Attachment 1 (Scope of Work), attached to this Work Order and made a part hereof by this reference. The professional services will be performed by the CONSULTANT for the fee schedule set forth in Attachment 2 (Fee Schedule), attached to this Work Order and made a part hereof by this reference. The CONSULTANT will perform the professional services within the timeframe more particularly set forth in Attachment 3 (Tissue Schedule), attached to this Work Order and made a part hereof by this reference all in accordance with the terms and provisions set forth in the Agreement. Pursuant to paragraph 1 .4 of the Agreement, nothing contained in any Work Order shall conflict with the terms of the Agreement and the terms of the Agreement shall be deemed to be incorporated in each individual Work Order as if fully set forth herein. F ssistan County Attorney Our File #0649 August 31 , 2006 NON-EXCLUSIVE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING AGREEMENT CONTINUING CONSULTING SERVICES ATTACHMENT • Project Description Work Order No . 8 provides for professional engineering services for the surveying, design, permitting, bidding and services during construction of a 12" force main for conveyance of wastewater in CR 510 between the east end of the Wabasso Bridge to A- 1 -A . Work Order No . 8 is being implemented at this time to provide professional engineering services by Masteller & Moler, Inc. associated with the project described above. The work to be performed as part of this Work Order will generally include providing a route survey and base plans; preparation of project design for the proposed 12" pipeline, preparation of contract plans; preparation of specifications and bid documents ; preparation and submittal of permit applications, assistance during bidding and contract administration/periodic inspection for the pipeline project. The estimated project construction cost is $435 ,000 . 00 A brief description of the scope of services for Work Order No . 8 is provided below: • Scope of Services Task A — Route Survey and Base Plans Masteller, Moler, Reed & Taylor, Inc. will perform a Route Survey for property located in Indian River County and lying in Section 23 , Township 31 South, Range 39 East and identified as County Route 510, from the east side of the Wabasso Bridge to State Road A- 1 -A (including intersection) . The total length of the Route Survey is approximately 4600 linear feet. Route Survey includes : 1 . Establish survey baseline as directed by the Engineer; 2 . Locate all monumentation for establishment of existing rights-of-way; 3 . Locate and identify all visible topographic features along the route (ie : power poles, mailboxes, pavement, culverts, etc.) ; 4. Obtain elevations along the route sufficient for engineering design purposes; 5 . Elevations will be based on NGVD 1929 unless otherwise directed; 6. Produce map of survey drawing for basis of engineering design; 7. Provide five paper copies and one digital file of route survey upon completion of field work Attachment 1 8/31 /2006 Page 2 Task B — Construction Plans Masteller & Moler, Inc . will utilize the route survey and base plans prepared by Masteller, Moler, Reed & Taylor, Inc. We shall use these base plans for design and preparation of construction plans for a 12" diameter force main. This project will begin at the east end of the Wabasso Bridge approach and proceed east to the existing pump station wet well at the southeast corner of CR 510 and Jungle Trail . A separate section of the 12" force main will connect to the pump station wet well and proceed east to SR A- 1 -A for connection to the existing force main system. The total estimated length of the proposed 12 " force main is t 4,600 feet. Our plans will show the necessary gate valves, air release valves, directional boring, and construction details. Task C - Permitting Masteller & Moler, Inc. services include permitting from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). In addition, an Indian River County Utility and Right-of-way permit and the ACOE Nationwide 14 Permit will be needed Masteller & Moler, Inc. will prepare the permit applications and supporting data and submit on behalf of the County. Permit application fees are not included in this Proposal . Task D - Construction Services Masteller & Moler, Inc. will provide assistance during bidding and periodic inspection of the pipeline system project on an as-needed basis to observe that construction is in reasonable compliance with the Contract Plans and Permits. We will also attend meetings, review shop drawings and monthly pay estimates from the contractor.
