WORK ORDER NO . AMETA
FOR
PROFESSIONAL GEOTECHNICAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
FOR STANDARD PENETRATION TESTS , SOILS CLASSIFICATION
and WRITTEN REPORT SERVICES, at WABASSO BEACH PARK
CONTRACT #7018 , 2006-2007

This Work Order No . AMET- 1 is in accordance with the existing AGREEMENT #7018 dated
October 3, 2006 between A. M . Engineering & Testing , Inc . (GEOTECHNICAL
PROFESSIONAL ) and Indian River County (COUNTY) .
This Work Order No. AMET- 1 amends the AGREEMENT as follows:
SECTION 1 — PROJECT LIMITS:
The number, location and depth of required soils penetration borings are indicated on the
attached " Preliminary Design Site Plan".
SECTION III — SCOPE OF SERVICES :
This Work Order No. AMET- 1 is for providing all Professional Geotechnical services related to
the task and services as indicated in the attached "EXHIBIT A" . GEOTECHNICAL
PROFESSIONAL shall provide COUNTY with four (4) copies of the final written report.
SECTION IV — TIME FOR COMPLETION:
Field work shall begin within 7 calendar days of the written notice to proceed date. All
services shall be completed , in its entirety, within 21 calendar days of the written notice to
proceed date . Field work shall not exceed 3 working days . The County shall be notified
upon the start and completion of field work and/or of any delay beyond specified periods.
SECTION IV — COMPENSATION :
The COUNTY agrees to pay , and the GEOTECHNICAL PROFESSIONAL agrees to accept ,
a fee for services rendered according to the "Scope of Services" identified in Section I , III
and IV of this Work Order No . AMET- 1 , a Lump Sum of $ 3 , 715 . 00 .

All invoicing shall be supported with documentation of actual drilling footage and
engineering man hours , prior to payments .
The AGREEMENT is hereby amended as specifically set forth herein . All remaining sections
of the AGREEMENT shall remain in full force and effect , and are incorporated herein .

SCOPE OF WORK
Geotechnical Services
Wabasso Beach Park Restoration
Indian River County, Florida
Work Order AMET- 1
• Explore the subsurface conditions at the proposed boardwalk and restroom replacement
project with three (3 ) 15-foot deep and one ( 1 ) 30-foot deep Standard Penetration Test
(SPT) borings within the boardwalk area and two (2), 40-foot deep SPT borings within
the proposed restroom areas .
• Select soil samples and classify the soils in accordance with the Unified soil
classification system (USCS ).
• Submit 4 copies of a written report which furnishes findings of the field testing , and
recommendations regarding site preparation and foundation design criteria.
