Home My WebLink About2010-030 IK d/d - 030 IMPROVEMENT OF 43RD AVENUE PROFESSIONAL CIVIL ENGINEERING & STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING SERVICES AMENDMENT NO . 2 TO WORK ORDER NO , 1 TO THE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERINGILAND SURVEYING SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN ARCADIS AND INDIAN RIVER COUNTY , FLORIDA. This is an amendment to the existing Engineering Services Agreement (AGREEMENT) dated September 6, 2005 between ARCADIS (ENGINEER) and Indian River County (COUNTY) . This amendment addresses changes in " Section I — Project Limits and Description" , " Section III - Scope of Services " , and " Section V - Compensation " . Amendment Description This Amendment includes the following : " SECTION I - PROJECT LIMITS AND DESCRIPTION " is being modified to incorporate the following : Consultant services are required for the preparation of road design plans ; bridge plans ; permit applications and utility relocations associated with the construction of 43 `d Avenue Improvements . The improvements consist of the following : Stormwater Drainage Work Order No l for the widening of 43 `d Avenue from Oslo Road to 8th Street addressed the potential need for storm water drainage ponds for the project . This work order noted that the design of drainage ponds may be required for the project, and stated that if drainage ponds were required , the preparation of plans for the ponds would be incorporated into the project through an amendment once the final drainage requirements were determined . ARCADIS has analyzed the need for and the number and location of drainage ponds required for the project . This Amendment No 2 incorporates the design of the drainage ponds into the project . The proposed storm water detention ponds will be constructed at the following locations : a " COUNTY STUMP DUMP SITE " located north of 5th Street SW , 500 feet west of 43 `d Avenue . • " MOOSE LODGE SITE " located 800 feet east of 43 `d Avenue between 4th Street and Ist Street SW . • "FORESTRY SITE" located at the northwest corner of 43 `d Avenue and 4th Street . • "DURWIN SITE" located 850 feet north of 4th Street along the west side of 43 `d Avenue . The detention area plans will include an overall pond layout sheet and individual pond plan, elevations and details . Hydraulic calculations will be performed in order to size the ponds and as required for permitting of the project. A subsurface geotechnical exploration program will be conducted by Tierra South Florida . A total of 22 SPT borings will be drilled to a depth of 20 -feet within the pond areas . A report on the results of the boring program will be prepared . Permitting Permit application packages have been prepared and submitted to the following agencies : • SJRWMD — drainage permit • IRFWCD — drainage permit To date , ARCADIS has paid the following fees to regulatory permit agencies for this project : • St . Johns River Water Management District - $ 1 , 000 . 00 • Indian River Farms Water Control District - $350 . 00 Plans The following plan sheets will be prepared : 1 . Overall Pond Layout sheet 2 . Pond plans 3 . Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans The plans will be prepared based upon English units . " SECTION III — SCOPE OF SERVICES" is being modified to incorporate the following : ARCADIS will prepare 90% , and 100% plans for the improvements . E . " SECTION V — COMPENSATION " is being modified to incorporate the following : The COUNTY agrees to pay and the ENGINEER agrees to accept for services rendered pursuant to this Agreement fees in accordance with the following : A .
