HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-237 h toA5 - � 0 C v o BRIDGE REPLACEMENTS AND WIDENING OF 66TH AVENUE FROM SOUTH OF SR 60 TO 59TIl STREET PROFESSIONAL CIVIL ENGINEERING , GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING AND LAND SURVEYING SERVICES AMENDMENT NO . 8 TO THE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERINGILAND SURVEYING SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN ARCADIS G & M, Inc . AND INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA. This is an amendment to the existing Engineering/Land Surveying Services Agreement (AGREEMENT) dated September 6 , 2005 between ARCADIS G&M , Inc . (ENGINEER) and Indian River County (COUNTY) . This amendment addresses changes in " Section I — Project Limits and Description", " Section III - Scope of Services " , and " Section V - Compensation " . Amendment Description This Amendment includes the following : " SECTION I - PROJECT LIMITS AND DESCRIPTION" is being modified to incorporate the following : Plans have been prepared for the construction of water main improvements along 66'" Avenue in conjunction with the roadway widening project. Plans for the construction of the water main have been prepared . Modifications to the water main plans have been requested by the County . The modifications are as follows : O Revise the proposed 8 " diameter water main on 33 `d Street to a 12 " diameter water main, and extension of the proposed water main an additional 1000 ' west to provide service to the Agricultural site . ENGINEER will obtain a field survey and prepare construction plans for the water main extension. a The current plans show the connection of the proposed water main to the existing water main on the north side of 26'" Street . The COUNTY has requested that the plans be revised to connect to the existing water main on the south side of 26`" Street . The proposed 20" diameter water main will be installed under 26'" Street by a directional bore . ® The current plans show the 20" water main along 66`x' Avenue to be installedon the east side of 66'" Avenue between the curb and gutter and guardrail . The plans will be revised to show that the water main will be installed 5 -feet west of the northbound edge of pavement, within the roadway . e Relocate the proposed water main on 33 `d Street from the south side of 33 `d Street to the north side . ® Eliminate the water main extension on the west side of 41 ' Street and 45 '" Street . Plans have been prepared for the construction of stormwater detention ponds for the project. The storm water drainage design including conveyance pipe system design and pond plans will be modified to reflect the new pond locations . The following plans will be modified to reflect the relocated pond sites : a Construction plans • Drainage structure sheets ® Drainage maps • Profiles In addition, a topographic survey of the new pond sites will be performed for the purpose of calculating earthwork volumes . During the right of way acquisition negotiations for the Plantation Plaza site , the property owners requested several plan modifications to address concerns they had . These modifications included a reduction in the size of the corner clip on SR 60 & 66`" Avenue, changes to the gravity wall to make the wall more aesthetically pleasing, and modifications to the access driveway to provide for radial curb returns and to reduce the width of the drive thru access aisle . In addition, the location of the trash dumpster enclosure will be relocated . " SECTION V — COMPENSATION" is being modified to incorporate the following : The COUNTY agrees to pay and the ENGINEER agrees to accept for services rendered pursuant to this Agreement fees in accordance with the following : A . Professional Services Fee 1 . The basic compensation mutually agreed upon by the ENGINEER. and the COUNTY follows : Compensation will be on an hourly basis at the hourly rates listed below. All other sections of the AGREEMENT shall remain in fall force and effect and are incorporated herein . This Amendment No . 8 to the AGREEMENT regardless of where executed , shall be governed by and constructed by the laws of the State of Florida.
