Home My WebLink About2012-021 � cia vel BRIDGE REPLACEMENTS AND WIDENING OF 66T" AVENUE C3 FROM SOUTH OF SR 60 TO NORTH OF 57T" STREET PROFESSIONAL CIVIL ENGINEERING, GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING AND LAND SURVEYING SERVICES AMENDMENT NO . 10 TO THE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERINGILAND SURVEYING SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN ARCADIS US, Inc. AND INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA . This is an amendment to the existing Engineering/Land Surveying Services Agreement (AGREEMENT) dated September 6 , 2005 between ARCADIS US , Inc . ( ENGINEER) and Indian River County ( COUNTY) . This amendment addresses changes in " Section I — Project Limits and Description" and " Section V - Compensation " . Amendment Description This Amendment includes the following : " SECTION I - PROJECT LIMITS AND DESCRIPTION " is being modified to incorporate the following : Plans have been prepared for the construction of mast arm traffic signals at the following locations : • 66th Avenue and SR 60 • 66th Avenue and 26th Street • 66th Avenue and 45th Street • 66th Avenue and 57th Street These plans were prepared based on the requirements of the FDOT ' s 2006 Design Standards and Traffic Manual . The FDOT has subsequently updated and revised their design standards and Traffic manual . These revisions include an increase in the required wind speed for mast arm structures , changes to the approved pay items , and changes to the specifications . The signal plans will be revised to update the plans to meet the FDOT ' s current requirements . The structural calculations for the mast arms will be revised to incorporate the new wind loadings and all pay item numbers and nomenclature will be revised to reflect the current standards . Plans have been prepared for a traffic signal interconnect throughout the project limits . Additionally, the plans will be revised to include a 4-inch conduit and pull boxes at 33rd Street, 37th Street, and 491h and 53rd Street for future use . Pull boxes will be included at all four intersection quadrants connecting to the proposed 4-inch conduits . Plans have been prepared for the construction of a 20" diameter water main along 66th Avenue Pagel of 5 G :ALNR Support\ADMIN�Marketing\Proposals\WPB\2011166 th Ave Amendment No 10 1 -23 - 12 . doc from 26th Street to north of 57th Street . These plans included the construction of water main and reuse water main improvements on the intersecting side streets . This work was shown on the roadway plans and separate utility plans . The County has determined that the construction of the 20" water main will no longer be included in the project . The utility improvements will be limited to the construction of connections to the existing water mains on the intersecting side streets . The water main will be shown to be constructed from the existing water main connections on the east side of the IRFWCD Lateral A Canal , and will extend west across the proposed bridges crossing the Lateral A Canal . The water mains will then be extended west across 66th Avenue where they will terminate at a fire hydrant . The extension of reuse water main lines from the existing reuse line on the east side of 66th Avenue to the west side of 66th Avenue will be provided . In addition, the plans currently show the existing reuse water main to be deflected under the proposed 60" diameter culverts for the sub -lateral canals at each sidestreet location . Due to modifications of the size and invert elevations of the canal culverts , the reuse main may be able to cross over the canal culverts . These crossings will be reviewed and revised so as to provide for the reuse lines to be deflected over the canal culverts wherever possible . The revised water main and reuse line improvements will be shown on the roadway plans from SR 60 to 500 ' north of 49th Street . The roadway plans will be revised to eliminate the proposed 20 " water main as currently shown on the plans , profiles , and drainage structure sheets . The revised utility lines crossing 66th Avenue will be detailed on the roadway plan sheets . Separate utility quantities will be included in the roadway plans . The roadway plans for 66th Avenue from 500 ' north of 491h Street to north of 57th Street will not be revised at this time . A right turn lane will be added to the plans at the entrance to the Trillium subdivision . The right turn lane will be approximately 200 feet long with a 50400t taper. The roadway plans , cross sections , and pavement marking plans will be revised to include the right turn lane . The estimate of quantities will be revised as necessary to include the turn lane construction . Landscape and irrigation plans have been prepared for the project . The irrigation plans were based on utilizing re- use water for the irrigation supply in accordance with St. John ' s River Water management guidelines . After the irrigation plans were completed the County utilities department advised that the re-use water line would not have constant pressure, and that the time periods when re- use water would be available for use as irrigation supply could not be regularly established . Based on this it was determined that the irrigation plans should be revised to utilized groundwater wells as the supply source rather than the re-use water. " SECTION V — COMPENSATION " is being modified to incorporate the following : The COUNTY agrees to pay and the ENGINEER agrees to accept for services rendered pursuant to this Agreement fees in accordance with the following : A .
