HomeMy WebLinkAbout4/12/1968FRIDAY, APRIL 12, 1968 The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida met in specialsession at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida on -Friday„ April 12, 1968 at 8:30 o'clock A. M. Present were. Robert W. Graves, Chairman; D. B. McCullers, Jr., Vice Chairman; Richard P. Bogosian and Jack U. Dritenbas. Absent was Donald Macdonald. Also present.. were Jack G. Jennings, County Administrator; Sherman N. Smith, Jr., County Attorney; - Sam T. Joyce, Sheriff and Alfred H. Webber, Deputy Clerk. The Sheriff reported that tensions resulting in the adoption of Resolution 68-21 adopted in the minutes of April 9, 1968, have eased in the County areas. Upon a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Dritenbas, the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: APR 1, 21968 ono 11 pAg[215 RESOLUTION NO. 68 26 The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, resolves: 1. That this Board does herewith independently regulate the hours of sale of alcoholic beverages within the territory of Indian River County, Florida, not included within any municipality, as follows, to -wit: (a) No alcoholic beverages, that is, all beverages containing more than one per cent of alcohol by weight, may be sold, consumed or served or permitted to be served or consumed in any place holding a license under the State Beverage Department of, Florida between the hours of 1:00 o'clock A.M. and 7:00 o'clock A.M. of each Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday. (b) No alcoholic beverages, that is, all beverages containing more than one per cent of alcohol by weight, may be sold, consumed or served or permitted to be served or consumed in any place holding a license under the State B e verage Department of Florida between the hours of 1:00 o'clock A. M. and 1:00 o'clock P. M. on each Sunday: (c) No alcoholic beverages, that is, all beverages containing more thanone per cent of alcohol by weight, may be sold, consumed or served or permitted to be served or consumed in any place holding a license under the State Beverage Department of .Florida between the hours of 12:01 o'clock A.M. and 7:00 o'clock A. M. on Monday of each week. 2. This Resolution shall become effective atey o'clock on April / 2—, 1968. There being no further business, on Motion made, seconded and carried, the 1Soard adjourned at 8:50 o'clock A. M.
