Home My WebLink About2010-130 v i � - J • i dvf � � 13o TASK ORDER NO . 1 INDIAN RIVER COUNTY AND CAROLLO ENGINEERS , A Professional Corporation This Task Order is issued by the OWNER and accepted by ENGINEER pursuant to the mutual promises , covenants and conditions contained in the Agreement between the above named parties dated the 1 st day of May 2007 , in connection with the Continuing Contract Agreement for Professional Services . PURPOSE The purpose of this Task Order is to describe the Scope of Services for the Evaluation Related to Scaling and Corrosion Considerations at the OWNER 7s Reverse Osmosis ( RO ) treatment plant. The overall goal of the study is to perform evaluations and develop suitable recommendations for the treatment process/operations to address scaling and corrosion considerations . These evaluations will be achieved through specific data analysis , chemistry modeling , and sampling . ENGINEER ' S SERVICES ENGINEER ' s services include the following two tasks to complete this assignment . These tasks are discussed in detail below. • Task 1 — Reviews and Evaluation • Task 2 — Report TASK 1 . REVIEWS AND EVALUATION The data reviews and evaluation will focus on specific evaluations of water quality related to scaling/corrosion , chemistry modeling using RTW model , and specific sampling and analysis for water quality related to scaling/corrosion . In case a coupon study is one of the recommendations based on the results from these evaluations , its scope will be separately and subsequently developed in another task order. An interim letter memorandum will be prepared and submitted at the end of Subtask 1 . 2 , summarizing the results of the chemistry modeling , and including initial recommendations on changes to treatment process/operations . These initial results and recommendations will be enhanced and finalized in the project report that will be developed in Task 2 , after completion of the sampling and analysis in Task 1 . 3 . Deposits/scale analysis Task 1 Deliverables : Draft Letter Memorandum ( electronic copy PDF format ) Final Letter Memorandum ( electronic copy PDF format ) TASK 2 . REPORT Subtask 2 . 1 . Draft Report At the completion of the data reviews and evaluation (Task 1 ) , ENGINEER will produce a Draft Report summarizing and documenting the results of the evaluations and including suitable recommendations , and distribute the draft report to the OWNER for review and approval . Subtask 2 .2 . Meeting to discuss draft report ( Prep/Attend/ Distribute Minutes ) After the submission of the draft report, ENGINEER will meet with OWNER to discuss the results and recommendations included in the draft report . OWNER' s comments will be received , and incorporated in the finalization of the report . Subtask 2 . 3. Final Report The ENGINEER will revise the Draft Report as appropriate based on the OWNER ' s comments received , and submit a Final Report . Task 2 Deliverables : Draft Report ( 4 copies ) Final Report ( 4 copies ) TIME OF PERFORMANCE Completion of the services outlined above will be provided as needed during the project . The overall schedule for the preparation of the Report is estimated to be fourteen ( 14) weeks after . receipt of the Notice to Proceed ( NTP ) . The estimated timeline is described below . • Task 1 . 1 and 1 . 2 of the study will delivered to the OWNER within seven weeks of receipt of the NTP . • Task 1 . 3 and Task 2 of the study will be delivered to the OWNER within fourteen weeks of receipt of the NTP . H :1Clientllndian River County\ContracAIRC 2010-T01 _Fn1 .doc 2 1 PAYMENT OWNER shall pay ENGINEER for ENGINEER 's Services , as delineated above , rendered under a lump sum fee of $ 39 , 545 , plus approved expenses . Reimbursable Expenses . OWNER shall pay ENGINEER the actual costs of all approved Reimbursable Expenses incurred in connection with all ENGINEER's Services , as delineated above , including those of independent associates and consultants employed by ENGINEER. EFFECTIVE DATE This Task Order No . 1 is effective as of the "day of April , 2010 . IN WITNESS WHEREOF , duly authorized representatives of the OWNER and of the ENGINEER have executed this Task Order No . 1 evidencing its issuance by OWNER and acceptance by ENGINEER .
